Topic: 32MByte CF-Card from SanDisk
In January 2001 I purchased an original packed 32MByte SanDisk for 60Euro over Internet.
Again this CF-Cards from SanDisk is concerned with for instance 90Euro (see also www.abyte.de).
Today (March 2003) is a 256MB-CF-Card fee about 100Euro.
In order to be able to use this new CF-Disk, it had to be formated at once.
This occurs through: "formating menu - disk - formating disk"
For the 32MByte the Psion needs about 1 minute.
Subsequently, the 32MByte is available.
I upload then the operating system "syß$rom.bin" (Epoc release 5, V1.05, Build 319).
Additionally I created a file of name of "programs" and copied all important supplementary product lines in the "SIS-format" there inside.
As last copied I the whole document files, include contents, from "C:/" to "D:/".
I used the CF-Card on the one hand as backing UP medium for on the way and on the other hand than data carriering for a possible new installation of the operating system.
On the way if the operating system should "hang itself up" times, I must make a RESET. So afterwards the operating system and afterwards my supplementary product line can install themselves.
For general information: the original 16MByte-CF-Disk of PSION looks in such a way:
